At BrilliantRead Media, we always strive to bring meaningful and powerful stories from India and around the world to empower and motivate our growing community. As part of this endeavour, we invited Akshhit Jhaveri for an exclusive interview with us. Akshhit is an Entrepreneur, Consultant and Founder of Kyte Milk. Let’s learn more about his background, journey and his advice for our community!

Excerpts from our exclusive interview with Akshhit:

Could you please talk us through your background and your journey?

I grew up in a Gujarati family where business, or “Dhando,” is part of our DNA. My father was a businessman, but I never felt right taking the easy route and joining him. I wanted to build something meaningful from the ground up.

Every journey starts with a spark, a moment that changes everything. For me, Akshhit Jhaveri, that moment came in 2018. I was in Bangalore, deeply focused on my studies about electric vehicles—never did I imagine that a random news segment would turn my life upside down. It was about a child’s death caused by adulterated milk. It felt like a punch to the gut. I couldn’t believe that something as pure and essential as milk could lead to such tragedy.

That night, I couldn’t sleep. Questions swirled in my mind: How could this be happening in a country where milk is sacred, worshipped and also a symbol of nourishment? Why were so many families unknowingly risking their health? The more I researched, the more unsettling the truth became. Adulteration wasn’t rare; it was a widespread issue. That’s when a fire was lit inside me—I knew I couldn’t just stand by.

And this was it—I’d found my purpose. I decided I would venture into the dairy industry, but not just as another producer. I wanted to change the way milk was made and consumed in India.

So, I dove in headfirst. I spent months travelling across states, visiting farms, and talking to experts. I even enrolled in an institute to learn about animal health and welfare.

Those months were my real education. I discovered that our ancestors knew what they were doing when they relied on A2 milk from indigenous Gir cows. This milk, pure and natural, had been pushed aside by high-yielding foreign breeds that were easier to maintain but came with hidden costs to health.

That was my turning point. I knew if I wanted to make a real change, I’d need to bring back this forgotten treasure. But starting Kyte Milk was no simple task. It required a lot of capital, commitment, and an unwavering belief in my mission. So, in the lush, hilly outskirts of Manchar, Pune, I established Kyte Milk’s 20+ acre farm.

This wasn’t just any farm; it was a sanctuary. Here, our Gir cows roam freely, following a balanced diet and living a stress-free life. We respect natural processes, so artificial insemination is a no-go; we have bulls for natural mating. We even grow our own fodder, free from chemicals, using organic fertilisers.

One thing became clear early on—our farmers are the backbone of this mission. Instead of hiring outsiders, we work with local farmers, valuing their ancestral knowledge and problem-solving skills. We ensure they have steady wages and teach them sustainable practices, building a cycle of growth and prosperity that goes beyond our farm.

From the start, our goal was more than just producing milk. It was about creating a product that people could trust—a milk free from preservatives and growth hormones, delivered fresh within 16 to 18 hours of milking. It was also about reconnecting people with the kind of pure, unadulterated milk our ancestors cherished.

What began as a single spark has now grown into a movement. Kyte Milk stands for purity, for farmers, for better health, and for a future where people can trust what they consume. This journey isn’t just mine; it’s for everyone who believes in taking a step towards something better.

I invite you to be part of this journey. Try Kyte Milk, taste the difference, and join us in bringing back the purity of milk. Let’s build a future that honours our roots and sets a new standard for generations to come.

“KyteMilk” is such a unique name, talk us through more about it, please. Our audience would also love to know what kind of problem you are solving?

The problem with today’s dairy industry is bigger than most people realize. Let’s start with a simple question: Why are more and more people suddenly becoming lactose intolerant, while older generations rarely face this issue? The answer lies hidden in plain sight—in the very milk we drink every day.

Most of the milk sold today comes from foreign breeds like the Holstein-Friesian cows, known for their black-and-white spots. This milk, labelled as A1, isn’t as harmless as it seems. It’s milk that doesn’t fully align with the human digestive system, and over time, it silently contributes to lactose intolerance and other health issues.

This wasn’t the milk that nourished our grandparents. They drank A2 milk, the type that comes from indigenous breeds like the Gir cow. A2 milk is the kind that works with our bodies, not against them. But here’s where things take a darker turn: Why don’t we see A2 milk on every shelf? Why do the dairy giants choose to sell A1 milk despite the health risks?

The harsh reality is that these corporations are driven by numbers. A cow that produces 15 to 20 liters of A1 milk a day is seen as more profitable than an indigenous cow that produces 8 to 12 liters of A2 milk, even though the maintenance cost is the same. They’re choosing quantity over quality, profit over people’s well-being.

But the issues run deeper. Most of these dairy giants don’t own their own farms. They rely on partnerships with farmers, locking them into contracts that prioritise volume over everything else. The milk from these farms goes to centralised collection centres, where quality control is more of a checkbox than a genuine concern.

And here’s the most alarming part: at these collection points, milk from cows, buffalos, and even goats is often mixed together without clear labelling. What ends up in that neatly branded carton you pick up from the store could be a cocktail of different sources, and you’d never know.

Knowing all of this, the picture becomes clear—it’s not just about milk; it’s about trust.Once I uncovered these facts, I couldn’t turn back. I knew I had to step up and create a better alternative. That’s how KyteMilk was born—out of a commitment to health, honesty, and sustainability.

We only use milk from our own Gir cows, raised with care and allowed to live naturally. We’re not just producing milk; we’re setting a new standard, one that values quality over quantity, health over shortcuts, and people over profit.

KyteMilk isn’t just a name; it’s a statement. It’s about going back to the roots, ensuring what we drink is what nature intended. It’s about creating a legacy of trust and health for our generation and the ones to come.

Despite the challenges, what keeps you going when things get tough?

What keeps me going when things get tough? It’s simple: a promise I made to myself. A promise that no matter how many obstacles come my way, giving up is not an option. I carry this sense of responsibility, one that goes beyond just me. I feel the weight of many lives depending on me—not just now, but in the future as well. It’s a feeling that drives me forward, even when the road gets rough and the challenges seem endless.

Ever since I was a kid, I dreamt of being more than just a name. I wanted to be someone who’s loved, respected, and known for making a difference. Life has brought me to this point where, looking back, I can start to see how the dots connect. It hasn’t been easy, and there’s still so much left to achieve. But each step I take, each hurdle I overcome, reinforces my belief that I’m on the right path.

I remind myself constantly: this journey isn’t just about business or success; it’s about fulfilling a deeper purpose, one that impacts others and leaves a legacy. It’s about that voice inside that whispers, “You’re not done yet.” And so, I push forward, holding onto the conviction that I have miles to go before I rest.

What are the three most important lessons you have learned in your life?

(a) Don’t give up easily; trust yourself and the process: There will be days when everything feels like it’s falling apart, and the temptation to throw in the towel is real. But if there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that resilience pays off. Trusting yourself and staying committed to the process, even when results seem far away, is what turns dreams into reality.

(b) Always do thorough research; don’t get swayed by words: In a world full of noise and opinions, it’s easy to get influenced by what people say. But nothing beats doing your own homework. Whether it’s making business decisions or choosing the right path, taking the time to dig deep and understand things for yourself can be the difference between success and failure.

(c) There’s no substitute for hard work and consistency: Talent and luck may get you started, but it’s hard work and consistency that will keep you moving forward. There’s no magic shortcut to achieving your goals. Showing up every day, putting in the effort, and staying disciplined is what creates lasting impact and growth.

In your opinion what are the keys to success?

It’s very simple:

1) Have the urge to do good for the people.

2) Always have a positive mindset even on the darkest days.

3) Love and believe in yourself even when nobody does.

4) For a very long time you’ll only hear a single clap, don’t get discouraged by it.

5) First take care of your health only then you’ll be able to take care of others.

6) Take quick but moreover smart decisions, don’t forget not everywhere hard work is required.

7) Make discipline your best friend.

8) Structure your work, without structure, you will keep falling.

9) And last but not least, keep pushing forward.

What advice would you give students and young professionals who want to have a successful career?

First and foremost, study—truly study: And by that, I don’t mean just following what everyone else does or cramming for exams. Dive deep into the subjects and areas you’re genuinely passionate about. Build a foundation that sets you apart because knowledge is your strongest tool.

Understand all the pros and cons before you take a step: Every path comes with its challenges and opportunities. Before committing to any career or venture, make sure you’ve weighed it from all angles. This preparation can save you from unexpected surprises down the line.

Work for someone before you work for yourself: There’s no substitute for real-world experience. Joining a company or working under someone knowledgeable will teach you practical skills and insights that you just can’t get from textbooks. The lessons you learn during this phase can be invaluable when it’s time to strike out on your own.

Reach out, learn, and share: I have so much to share that one conversation could never cover it all. That’s why I’m always happy to connect with people on platforms like LinkedIn. I often hear from individuals curious about KyteMilk or my other business, Jhaveri Enterprises, which focuses on exports under the banner of Jhaveri Global Kitchen. I genuinely enjoy guiding and supporting people in their journeys.

Last but not least, what about your journey makes it satisfying/exciting?

Honestly, it’s the simple yet profound feeling of knowing that I’m making a difference. The most rewarding part is seeing how we’re not just offering pure, healthy milk but also spreading awareness and knowledge that will help people—not just now, but for years to come.

There’s something deeply fulfilling about the idea that when you act with kindness and integrity, it doesn’t just impact one person—it ripples out, affecting others in ways you may never even know. It could be something as small as making someone’s day better or as big as changing the course of their life. And to me, that’s everything.

KyteMilk has always been more than just a business. It’s my dream, my vision, and my love for my country that’s poured into every drop. It feels like I’ve finally found my way to give back, to contribute to something meaningful, to serve the people who matter the most—our communities.

And here’s the thing: we’re just getting started. There’s so much more to come, so much more to give. I’m excited, I’m hopeful, and I’m grateful for the chance to do this work. We’re in this together, and I can’t wait to see how far we’ll go.
